Úlfhamsrímur

Album Notes & Community Reviews

'Úlfhamsrímur' is Steindór Andersen's performance of the Icelandic epic cycle telling of Úlfhamr, a hero transformed into a wolf, among the most celebrated of all rímur narratives. Andersen, the leading rímur chanter of his generation and long serving chairman of the Iðunn poetic society, delivers the alliterative verses unaccompanied in the traditional kvæði style.
