Album Notes & Community Reviews

Recorded during a period of massive commercial success for his primary band Kansas, lead vocalist and keyboardist Steve Walsh launched his solo career with 'Schemer-Dreamer'. The album largely dispenses with intricate progressive rock structures, favoring slick, hard-hitting AOR and radio-ready ballads. It features guest appearances from several Kansas bandmates and perfectly captures the transition of 1970s arena rock into the new decade.
