Album Notes & Community Reviews

Released via John Zorn's Radical Jewish Culture series on Tzadik Records, trumpeter Steven Bernstein brilliantly reimagines traditional Jewish melodies[cite: 1]. The remarkably warm, highly eclectic album reinterprets classic cantorial music and folk songs through the deeply rhythmic, brass-heavy lens of Afro-Cuban jazz and Gulf Coast R&B[cite: 1].
