A deliberate return to a progressive rock sound, the album synthesizes the expansive textures of artists like Pink Floyd and Vangelis with modern production, heavier prog-metal passages, and pop-oriented melodicism. Wilson's multi-instrumental performance, alongside key collaborators, creates a dense and dynamic soundscape that received critical acclaim for its ambitious scale and thematic depth.
