Album Notes & Community Reviews

'Rock a Little' follows the massive commercial peak of her early solo career, navigating the heavy synthesizer trends dominating the mid-1980s charts. Co-produced by Jimmy Iovine and Rick Nowels, the album balances her signature raspy, mystical vocal delivery with highly polished drum machines and slick pop arrangements. The arduous, heavily delayed recording sessions were notoriously complicated by her escalating personal struggles during this period.
