Album Notes & Community Reviews

Marking a massive turning point in the prodigious artist's career, this album was the first to feature him receiving a sole production credit on a majority of the tracks. The infectious, universally beloved title track and his wildly funky reimagining of 'We Can Work It Out' signaled his impending emancipation from the strict Motown hit-making machine.
