Album Notes & Community Reviews

Transitioning from his 'Little Stevie' persona into artistic maturity, 'Up Tight' is a quintessential snapshot of the mid-1960s Motown engine operating at full tilt. The record blends driving, brass-heavy rhythm and blues with infectious pop sensibilities, anchored by Wonder's increasingly powerful vocal range. The title track remains one of his definitive early-career anthems.
