Album Notes & Community Reviews

For his debut solo album following the dissolution of The Police, Sting recruited a phenomenal cast of young American jazz musicians, including Branford Marsalis and Omar Hakim. The record flawlessly blends sophisticated, highly melodic pop-rock with complex jazz improvisation and deeply conscious, politically charged songwriting. 'The Dream of the Blue Turtles' is a passionate, remarkably polished, and highly successful transition into solo stardom.
