Album Notes & Community Reviews
Originally envisioned as a vehicle for Michael Brown's sophisticated, classical-leaning pop rock, this sophomore release underwent a massive stylistic shift with the inclusion of their breakout cover of Hot Chocolate's 'Brother Louie'. The unexpected hit injected a deep, blue-eyed soul and funk element into their sound, leading to internal creative friction but securing the band's most significant commercial triumph.
