Album Notes & Community Reviews
Reaching the commercial zenith of the Christian metal movement, the Californian quartet delivered a highly polished, heavily synthesized array of glam metal anthems. The pristine, AOR-leaning production yielded several successful MTV power ballads, blending sentimental spirituality with arena-rock bombast. Despite its commercial success, the pop-oriented direction alienated segments of their traditional heavy metal fanbase.
