Album Notes & Community Reviews
The veteran Britpop outfit delivers an incredibly sweeping, cinematic record explicitly designed to be accompanied by a feature-length film directed by Roger Sargent. Brett Anderson's dramatic, soaring vocals tackle themes of parental anxiety, aging, and deep existential dread over lush, string-heavy rock arrangements. It acts as a remarkably ambitious, triumphant chapter in the band's acclaimed late-career resurgence.
