Bright Surroundings Dark Beginnings

Album Notes & Community Reviews

Presenting the famously unpredictable collective in an unusually focused state, this album captures a sprawling, hypnotic live set deeply influenced by North African and Middle Eastern modalities. The trio engages in extended, repetitive trance-rock improvisations, completely disregarding standard song structures. It is widely considered one of the most cohesive entry points into their massive, chaotic discography.
