Album Notes & Community Reviews
Operating within the framework of a slightly more structured, studio-polished environment for Impulse! Records, the Afrofuturist pioneer pushed heavily into electronic exploration. Featuring the eerie, prominent use of the Minimoog synthesizer alongside June Tyson's cosmic vocal incantations, it perfectly encapsulates his unique intersection of deeply rooted jazz and terrifying science fiction.
