Album Notes & Community Reviews
An intimate, unvarnished solo piano recording from the legendary avant-garde bandleader, originally released on his own El Saturn imprint. 'Aurora Borealis' strips away the interstellar bombast of the Arkestra to reveal Sun Ra's profound command of abstract phrasing, cluster chords, and unexpected melodic lyricism.
