Album Notes & Community Reviews

Recorded in Milan with a stripped-down quartet featuring John Gilmore, Michael Ray, and Luqman Ali, this concert marks a striking period where the bandleader heavily incorporated the Crumar Mainman drum machine. The resulting futuristic soundscape bridges chaotic free improvisation with synthesized rhythmic frameworks, presenting a unique, mechanical iteration of his Afrofuturist vision.
