Album Notes & Community Reviews

Recorded in Chicago just before the Arkestra's relocation to New York, this session captures a transitional phase in Sun Ra's catalog. The arrangements remain rooted in post-bop structures, driven by John Gilmore's tenor saxophone and Ra's percussive piano comping, while hinting at their later avant-garde excursions.
