Album Notes & Community Reviews
Reverting to the wild, eclectic experimentation of their early 1990s releases, the Welsh band's ninth album abandons the acoustic melancholia of their previous effort. The record is dominated by extended, motorik Krautrock grooves, heavy synthesizer jamming, and surreal pop melodies built upon live studio improvisations. It served as a highly acclaimed, creatively revitalizing final album before the group commenced an extended hiatus.
