Album Notes & Community Reviews

On 'Ten Love Songs', Susanne Sundfør pivots to a more direct and grand electronic pop sound, while ironically exploring lyrical themes of violence, vulnerability, and the obsessive, darker facets of love. Taking on the primary producer role, she constructed a soundscape rich with Italo disco rhythms, vintage hardware synthesizers, and lush orchestral movements, retaining the cold, bleak feel of her earlier work within more immediate pop structures. The album, which features key collaborations with M83's Anthony Gonzalez and Röyksopp, balances its ambitious, multi-layered production and soaring vocal performances with a raw, personal lyrical approach, earning widespread critical acclaim.
