Album Notes & Community Reviews

Richter's only commercial studio recording of the concerto pairs him with Stanis艂aw Wis艂ocki and the Warsaw National Philharmonic Orchestra, produced by Hans Weber with balance engineer Heinz Wildhagen. Among the first Richter recordings widely released in the West, it has habitually been reissued alongside his Tchaikovsky First Concerto with Herbert von Karajan and the Vienna Symphony Orchestra.
