Album Notes & Community Reviews

SZA's debut album 'Ctrl' is a genre-fluid work that merges alternative R&B and neo-soul with elements of indie rock and pop, built upon minimalist production that combines organic instruments with electronic textures. The album is defined by its exceptionally raw and conversational songwriting, exploring themes of modern romance, insecurity, loneliness, and the struggle for control with a candor that established it as a significant and influential touchstone for its generation.
