Album Notes & Community Reviews

Stepping out from his highly successful production work for other artists, the acclaimed musician delivered a dark, cynical, and deeply literate solo effort. 'The Criminal Under My Own Hat' strips back the production to focus on his biting, poetic lyricism and roots-rock instrumentation. The record offers a bleakly humorous examination of morality and American culture.
