Eschewing their earlier beat-group origins, this Swedish quintet fully embraced the studio-as-an-instrument philosophy to create a hidden masterpiece of Scandinavian psychedelia. Drawing heavy inspiration from 'Sgt. Pepper's' and the blossoming freakbeat movement, the album utilizes traditional folk instruments, lush string arrangements, and dense vocal harmonies. It is widely considered one of the finest, most ambitious pop records ever produced in Sweden.
