Take 6: doo be doo wop bop!

Album Notes & Community Reviews

A stunning, Grammy-winning debut that entirely redefined the commercial potential of contemporary a cappella and gospel music. The sextet layered immaculate, incredibly complex vocal jazz harmonies with spiritual lyricism, completely eschewing traditional instrumental backing. The sophisticated, deeply melodic arrangements heavily influenced the trajectory of R&B vocal groups well into the following decade.
