Album Notes & Community Reviews

'Liberation' is a collaborative studio album between Brooklyn rapper Talib Kweli and Californian producer Madlib. Originally released as a free digital download for the first week of 2007, the project features Kweli's dense, conscious lyricism laid over Madlib's signature obscure soul and jazz sample chops. The record was highly praised for its organic, spontaneous feel and potent political messaging.
