Album Notes & Community Reviews

Stepping out from his acclaimed collaborative work with Black Star and Hi-Tek, the Brooklyn MC delivered a remarkably focused solo debut. The record is heavily anchored by the Kanye West-produced anthem 'Get By', which brilliantly utilizes pitched-up soul samples to underscore Kweli's dense, socially conscious lyricism.
