Gizmo

Album Notes & Community Reviews

Co-produced with Chaz Bear of Toro y Moi, Hannah van Loon's sophomore album heavily expands the rhythmic foundation of her dream pop sound. 'Gizmo' integrates the heavy, shuffling drum beats of 1990s baggy and alternative rock beneath incredibly thick layers of fuzz guitar. The contrast between her delicate, whispered vocals and the driving instrumentation creates a perfectly balanced, nostalgic listening experience.
