Album Notes & Community Reviews

Armed with vocoders, primitive drum machines, and an overarching sense of deadpan irony, 'Looking for Saint-Tropez' is a foundational text of minimal synthpop. The Belgian trio deliberately eschewed organic instrumentation to create rigid, mechanical covers of pop hits alongside quirky, futuristic originals. Their humorous, robotic aesthetic profoundly influenced the development of techno and house music across Europe and Detroit.
