Album Notes & Community Reviews

Following the critical and commercial disappointment of their feature film and its accompanying soundtrack, the comedic acoustic metal duo utilize this album as a triumphant, self-aware comeback narrative. The production is surprisingly muscular, heavily featuring drumming from long-time collaborator Dave Grohl alongside sweeping orchestral arrangements. Jack Black and Kyle Gass deliver their signature absurd bravado, blending vulgar humor with genuinely competent heavy metal pastiche.
