Album Notes & Community Reviews
Testament's fourteenth studio effort, 'Para Bellum', marks the recorded debut of drummer Chris Dovas and expands the band's thrash metal foundation with significant death and black metal elements. The album鈥檚 dynamic songwriting ranges from the aggressive, fast-paced attack of tracks like "Infanticide A.I." to the atmospheric and melodic arrangements of the orchestrally-enhanced "Meant to Be". Co-produced by the core duo of Eric Peterson and Chuck Billy, the record is noted for its modern, potent sound that balances brutality with imaginative musicality, further solidifying the band's contemporary vitality.
