Genotype

Originally conceived as a companion to 2016's 'Phenotype', 'Genotype' was entirely re-written following the band's multi-year hiatus, emerging as a distinct evolution of their sound. The album pivots to a more accessible and melodic progressive metal style, emphasizing refined clean vocals, atmospheric keyboards, and a clean, layered production. The band's trademark polyrhythmic complexity and technical guitar grooves remain but are deployed with greater focus, balanced by dynamic shifts and soaring hooks like the guest-led duet on "At the Edge of Winter".
