Album Notes & Community Reviews
Enlisting Jack Antonoff for co-production, the famously maximalist British band scales back their sprawling electronic experimentation in favor of warm, concise pop-rock arrangements. Heavily inspired by 1980s sophisti-pop and new wave, the record presents a surprisingly earnest, organic sonic palette that anchors the frontman's typically self-referential and hyper-modern lyricism.
