Stereotomy

by The Alan Parsons Project

Stereotomy cover art

Fully embracing the shift toward completely digital recording and mixing, this concept album explores the psychological themes of how people are shaped and molded by modern society. 'Stereotomy' makes extensive use of the Fairlight CMI synthesizer and features robust orchestrations arranged by Andrew Powell. It marks a distinctly colder, more mechanical phase for the collective compared to the organic symphonic rock of their 1970s output.
