Album Notes & Community Reviews

Constructed as a massive, 30-track conceptual beat-tape, the legendary Los Angeles producer limits his sampling entirely to obscure Soviet-era records sourced during a trip to Russia. The project is an overwhelming, highly psychedelic collage of chopped psychedelic rock, obscure jazz loops, and Russian dialogue, frequently abandoning traditional hip-hop percussion altogether. While primarily instrumental, the album features incredibly potent, brief guest verses from underground heavyweights like Danny Brown, Action Bronson, and Roc Marciano.
