Reuniting three years after a bitter internal splintering, the foundational southern rock ensemble attempted a return to their classic, dual-guitar roots. The addition of Dan Toler on guitar alongside Dickey Betts successfully revived the muscular, blues-driven jamming style of their early 1970s peak. While achieving significant commercial success, it would be their final album with Capricorn Records before the label declared bankruptcy.
