Album Notes & Community Reviews

Recorded during a period of fierce isolationist sentiment, this highly controversial anti-war album urged the United States to stay out of the European conflict. Following the invasion of the Soviet Union shortly after its release, the group pulled the records from circulation, making original copies remarkably scarce. The lyrical directness laid crucial groundwork for the folk revivals of the 1960s.
