Album Notes & Community Reviews

Released under the banner 'Ted Nugent and the Amboy Dukes', 'Call of the Wild' marks a transition toward the heavy, primal blues-rock that would define Nugent's impending solo career. The album is characterized by ferocious guitar playing and a decidedly outdoor, rugged aesthetic that distanced the band from their psychedelic origins.
