Album Notes & Community Reviews

A significant entry in the Polish Jazz series, '10 + 8' documents the pioneering efforts of the domestic avant-garde movement. The compositions prominently feature wordless vocal improvisations intertwined with complex brass arrangements, reflecting the influence of Eastern European contemporary classical music on jazz structures. The sessions highlight the unique trajectory of free jazz behind the Iron Curtain during the late 1960s.
