Album Notes & Community Reviews
Featuring future Deep Purple keyboardist Jon Lord and frontman Art Wood (brother of Ronnie Wood), 'Art Gallery' is a sterling, highly authentic document of the British mod and R&B club scene. The band expertly navigates Hammond organ-heavy covers of American soul and blues standards with remarkable tightness and grit. Though it failed to break them into the mainstream, the album is deeply revered by 60s beat purists.
