Album Notes & Community Reviews
Released as a foundational text of Britpop before the genre was entirely defined, 'New Wave' is an incredibly cynical and highly melodic guitar pop record. Luke Haines delivers sophisticated, misanthropic observations on class and fame over bittersweet, glam-rock-infused acoustic and electric arrangements.
