Album Notes & Community Reviews

Bolstered by the recruitment of Jonathan Cain on keyboards, 'Head First' perfectly captures The Babys' evolution into a highly polished arena rock powerhouse. John Waite's emotive, blue-eyed soul vocals are pushed to the forefront, perfectly complementing the slick, radio-ready anthems and massive power ballads. The album firmly established the group as a formidable commercial entity in the booming late-seventies AOR market.
