Rushed to completion to fulfill their remaining contract with Capitol Records, this collection of studio outtakes and new recordings served as the legendary group's final studio album before their historic farewell concert. The project noticeably lacks the cohesive, rustic magic of their earlier masterpieces, reflecting the severe internal fracturing and exhaustion plaguing the quintet. Nevertheless, it contains moments of undeniable vocal brilliance, highlighted by Richard Manuel's performance on a cover of 'Georgia on My Mind'.
