Album Notes & Community Reviews
Released alongside a massive promotional campaign marketed as 'Brian's Back', this project marked Brian Wilson's return to the producer's chair after years of retreat. The collection is split between rough, nostalgic covers of early rock and roll standards and quirky original compositions. While commercially successful, its unpolished sound highlighted the band's internal struggles and shifting artistic directions.
