Album Notes & Community Reviews

Recorded primarily at the Memorial Auditorium in Sacramento, California, this release captures the frantic energy of the surf rock pioneers at the absolute height of their early commercial success. The recording is notably characterized by the deafening, continuous roar of their teenage audience, serving as a powerful sonic document of the era's manic pop idol worship. It ultimately became the group's first long-playing record to top the Billboard 200 charts.
