Album Notes & Community Reviews

Serving as the legendary group's debut for CBS Records, the project was marred by internal fractures and Brian Wilson's limited, erratic involvement. The production leans heavily into sleek late-70s soft rock, notably featuring an unexpected, eleven-minute disco reimagining of their earlier song 'Here Comes the Night'. Despite the polished veneer, the disjointed tracklist highlighted the widening creative divisions within the band.
