Album Notes & Community Reviews

Standing alongside The Specials as a pillar of the 2 Tone movement, The Beat's debut album is a relentlessly energetic, intensely rhythmic fusion of ska and punk. 'I Just Can't Stop It' perfectly balances remarkably catchy, warm pop melodies with deeply anxious, highly conscious political lyricism addressing Thatcher-era unemployment and paranoia.
