Album Notes & Community Reviews

The Beat's 'Wha'ppen?' broadened the band's 2 Tone foundations with Caribbean rhythms, political commentary, and a lighter rhythmic touch than their debut. The album's social concerns and relaxed grooves show the group moving beyond ska revival into a more eclectic pop-reggae language.
