Album Notes & Community Reviews
The Besnard Lakes' debut 'Volume I' introduces the Montreal band's indie rock in embryonic form, with Jace Lasek's production layering guitars and vocals into dense, slow-moving arrangements. The album was recorded before the group's later, more expansive lineup settled.
