Ironically described by the band as their attempt at making a 'gross pop album', the Portland duo delivers a terrifying fusion of sludge metal and heavy 808 drum programming. The record utilizes surprisingly rhythmic, dance-oriented beats to anchor Chip King's agonizing, high-pitched shrieks and walls of distorted feedback. It is a wildly abrasive, deeply pessimistic experiment in heavy music.
