Significantly scaling back the dense, noisy shoegaze elements of their monumental 'Giant Steps', the British quartet delivered their most commercially successful, unapologetically pop-oriented record. The incredibly lush, highly orchestrated production perfectly showcases Martin Carr's brilliant, incredibly catchy songwriting, heavily evoking 1960s psychedelic pop and the Beatles.
