Album Notes & Community Reviews
Significantly scaling back the dense, noisy shoegaze elements of their monumental 'Giant Steps', the British quartet delivered their most commercially successful, unapologetically pop-oriented record. The incredibly lush, highly orchestrated production perfectly showcases Martin Carr's brilliant, incredibly catchy songwriting, heavily evoking 1960s psychedelic pop and the Beatles. The uplifting, incredibly infectious title track became a massive, definitive anthem of the mid-90s Britpop era.
