Album Notes & Community Reviews

Continuing their evolution away from straightforward punk rock, Bob Geldof's ensemble embraced deeply polished, heavily synthesized new wave production for their fifth studio effort. Co-produced by Tony Visconti, 'V Deep' notably incorporated prominent dub reggae influences and complex electronic rhythms, yielding the hit single 'House on Fire'. However, the album ultimately failed to sustain the massive commercial momentum of their late-70s peak.
